Medeiros lifts Brantford over Dundas, 5-1Brantford Civic Centre Fri, Oct 30, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Derek Medeiros was all over the ice for the Brantford Blast, as he tallied two goals in Brantford's 5-1 win over the Dundas Real McCoys. Medeiros found the back of the net 8:52 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brantford and again while on the power play 11:55 into the first to make the score 3-0 Brantford.The Blast put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Dundas to score on any of its five power plays. The Real McCoys were unable to stop Brantford from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blast eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Chris Rebernik also scored for Brantford. In addition, Brantford received assists from Cameron Sault, Mike Charbonneau, Mark Taylor, Andrew Marcoux, and Jamie Williams, who contributed one each and Joel Prpic and Chris Leveille, who each chipped in two. Dundas' offense operated below its season average. The Real McCoys put an average of 4.0 pucks into the net per game. Dundas was led by Shawn Snider, who scored the team's only goal. Snider scored 13:50 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Brantford. Scott Stafford picked up the assist. Anthony Marshall rejected 19 shots on goal for Brantford. The Blast incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mike Mole made 32 saves for the Real McCoys on 37 shots. Dundas incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
