Derrick Brooks finished with one point to lead the M1 Minot State University Beavers to a 5-1 victory over the M1 Colorado State University Rams.

M1 Minot State University excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. The Beavers' offense was clicking better than usual and put 38 shots on goal during the game, better than the 5.7 shots per game they average. M1 Minot State University could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Minot State University also got points from Jeremy Johnson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Craig Fournier, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brett Nespor, who also registered one goal and one assist. Brett Mcnevin also scored for M1 Minot State University. In addition, M1 Minot State University received assists from Dylan Gejdos, who had two and Carey Morrison and Austin Yano, who contributed one each.
