M1 Minot State University pulls away in second, rolls over M1 Colorado State University, 5-1

The M1 Colorado State University Rams allowed the M1 Minot State University Beavers to net three goals during the second period and fell, 5-1.

M1 Minot State University's Connor Beauchamp was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 25 saves and let only one puck past him. Beauchamp certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.17 entering the contest.

The Beavers were paced by Jeremy Johnson, who racked up one goal and one assist. Johnson scored 7:48 into the second period to make the score 2-0 M1 Minot State University. Lyndon Lipinski provided the assist.

M1 Minot State University's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three M1 Colorado State University power plays. By firing 37 shots on goal, the Beavers exceeded the 6.1 shots they average per game this year.

M1 Minot State University also got points from Lipinski, who also had one goal and one assist. M1 Minot State University also had goals scored by Craig Fournier, Dylan Johnson, and Sam Briscoe, who scored one goal each. In addition, M1 Minot State University received assists from Dillon Smith, Robby Moar, Brett Nespor, and Cole Olson, who each chipped in one and Carey Morrison and Austin Yano, who contributed two each.

With 26 shots on target during the contest, M1 Colorado State University exceeded the 2.0 shots it averages per game this year. The Rams could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 16 minutes in penalties during the game.

M1 Minot State University incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Dax Deadrick made 32 saves for M1 Colorado State University on 37 shots.
