Alexander nets hat trick, leads Amherstburg to 12-2 win over Alvinston

A hat trick by Ryan Alexander was the highlight in Integrity Admirals' 12-2 win against the Alvinston Flyers.

Alexander's first goal came 5:25 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:25 into the second and at 15:42 into the third.

Alvinston trailed by one after the first period, but the Amherstburg Integrity Admirals went into the second intermission with a 9-2 lead and never looked back.

Amherstburg forced Flyers' goalies to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, racking up 34 shots and forcing 22 saves. Cam MacAlpine made 15 stops and Matt Boere made seven. The Integrity Admirals surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Amherstburg averages 4.6 goals per contest.

Amherstburg additionally got points from Lucas Bersuk, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Marshal Laing, who also registered one goal and one assist, Broden Meloche, who also grabbed one goal and three assists, Travis Campbell, who also had one goal and one assist, and Luke Gangnon, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Amherstburg also had goals scored by Blaine Bechard, Jordan Luciw, and Kasey Basile, who each put in one. In addition, Amherstburg received assists from Dylan Muzzatti, who had four, Ryan Wismer and Curtis Prymack, who contributed one each, and Dean Patterson, Ryan Holzel, and Mitchell Holden, who each chipped in two.

The Flyers could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Alvinston was led by Kole Keating, who registered one goal. Keating scored 9:09 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Shaw provided the assist. Jeremy VanDeven also scored for Alvinston. More assists for Alvinston came via Cole Harris and Kirklin Dorman, who contributed one each.

The Integrity Admirals' Daniel Tonietto stopped 17 shots out of the 19 that he faced. Amherstburg incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Flyers registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
