The Amherstburg Integrity Admirals and the Dresden Kings skate to 2-2 (OT) tie

Dresden found itself down againt Amherstburg, but battled back to secure to a 2-2 (OT) tie.

The Integrity Admirals excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Amherstburg did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Integrity Admirals average 4.2 goals per game. Amherstburg forced the Kings goalie Travis Moore to work between the pipes, taking 43 shots.

The Integrity Admirals were helped by Dylan Muzzatti, who grabbed one goal. Muzzatti scored on the power play 1:20 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Amherstburg. Amherstburg had gotten the advantage when Dresden's Derek Shaw was sent off for tripping. Blaine Bechard assisted on the tally. Amherstburg also got a goal from Jordan Luciw as well. Other players who recorded assists for Amherstburg were Blake Rutckyj, Luke Gangnon, and Chad Copeland, who each chipped in one.

The Integrity Admirals were unable to stop the Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Dresden eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

The Kings were helped by Isaac McLean, who had one goal. McLean scored 4:28 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Shaw picked up the assist. Ben Nicholls also scored for Dresden. More assists for Dresden came via Phillip Clarke and Macks Holmes, who contributed one each.

Amherstburg's Connor Meyerink stopped 35 shots out of the 37 that he faced. The Integrity Admirals incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Moore recorded 41 saves for Dresden. The Kings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
