Crundwell lifts Lakeshore over Mooretown, 5-2

Behind a great game by Brenden Crundwell, who had two goals, the Lakeshore Canadiens defeated the Mooretown Flags, 5-2.

Crundwell's tallies came at 13:40 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Mooretown and 16:45 into the second to make the score 3-2 Lakeshore.

Lakeshore kept Mooretown's goalie busy throughout the game, and Brandon Johnson made 50 saves on 55 shots.

Lakeshore additionally got points from JJ Percy, who also registered one goal and one assist. Lakeshore also had goals scored by Hunter Corp and Mejoe Gasparovic, who each put in one. More assists for Lakeshore came via Parker Boyle, Austin Jennings, Dylan Kolic, Colin Tetreault, and Logan Percy, who each chipped in one and Jarrett Tazzman and Zack Bedard, who contributed two each.

The Flags' offense rang up 31 shots on the Canadiens' net.

Mooretown was helped by Kyle Smith, who racked up one goal. Smith scored 8:15 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Mooretown. Landon Wilson provided the assist. Cameron Rannie also scored for Mooretown. In addition, Mooretown received assists from Cade Robbins, Nolan Riley, and Alec Segers, who each chipped in one.

Tetreault rejected 29 shots on goal for Lakeshore. The Canadiens avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of two power plays. The Flags incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors and had no power play opportunities.
