Essex outlasts Alvinston, 6-4

The Essex 73s and the Alvinston Flyers were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Essex made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.
The 73s gained the winning advantage on a goal by Phil Janikowski 13:25 into the third period and hung on until final buzzer.
Janikowski had a great game for Essex, netting two goals.
The 73s forced Alvinston goalie Matt Boere to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.
Essex also got points from Dallas Pereira, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Tyler Scott also scored for Essex.
