Lakeshore squeaks by Wheatley, 5-4

The game between the Lakeshore Canadiens and the Wheatley Omstead Sharks was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Lakeshore emerged with a 5-4 win.

Neither team gained more than a one-goal lead, and Zack Bedard's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The Canadiens were led by Bedard, who registered one goal and one assist. Bedard scored 19:47 into the third period to make the score 5-4 Lakeshore. JJ Percy picked up the assist.

Lakeshore also got points from Colin Sartor, who also had one goal and one assist and Percy, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Lakeshore also had goals scored by Hunter Corp and Mejoe Gasparovic, who each put in one. In addition, Lakeshore received assists from Kyle Gagnon, Steven Sartor, Parker Boyle, Dylan Kolic, and Aaron Moore, who each chipped in one.

Wheatley was led by Justin Pinsonneault, who tallied one goal and one assist. Pinsonneault scored 18:40 into the third period to make the score 4-4. Calyn Kir assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Wheatley included Delaney MacDonald, Brady Hillock, and Frankie Ciacelli, who scored one goal each. More assists for Wheatley came via Brett Bowman, Lucas Raffoul, and Cole Butler, who contributed one each.

Colin Tetreault recorded 19 saves for Lakeshore. The Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Omstead Sharks' Eric Morneau stopped 22 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Wheatley incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
