Prudence leads Wheatley over Alvinston, 6-3

Mitchell Prudence was all over the ice for the Wheatley Omstead Sharks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Wheatley's 6-3 win over the Alvinston Flyers.

Prudence scored on the power play at 19:09 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Alvinston and again while 3:11 into the third to make the score 3-2 Alvinston.

The Omstead Sharks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Wheatley has scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign.

Wheatley also got points from Kristian Brockelbank, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Brett Bowman, who also registered one goal and one assist. Wheatley also had goals scored by Evan Mastronardi and Calyn Kir, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Wheatley were Brady Hillock, Frankie Ciacelli, Eric Prudence, Andreas Gossmann, Mitch Lantin, and Matt Taylor, who contributed one each.

Alvinston was helped by Frankie White, who finished with one goal. White scored 10:35 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Alvinston. Kirklin Dorman provided the assist. Others who scored for Alvinston included Zach VanEyk and Kole Keating, who each put in one. In addition, Alvinston received assists from Clint Rose, Brady Swan, Karsten Berg, Jordan Hayes, and Matt Gough, who each chipped in one.

Eric Morneau recorded 20 saves for the Omstead Sharks. Wheatley incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Matt Boere rejected 22 shots on goal for the Flyers. Alvinston incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
