Wheatley falls to Integrity Amherstburg in overtime, 5-4 (OT)

The Integrity Amherstburg Admirals' Blake Rutckyj scored 3:22 into overtime to beat the Wheatley Omstead Sharks, 5-4 (OT).

Lucas Bersuk had a great game for Integrity Amherstburg, netting two goals. Bersuk scored at 12:21 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Integrity Amherstburg and again while 18:35 into the second to make the score 3-3.

The Admirals' penalty kill excelled, as Integrity Amherstburg gave up one goal despite allowing six power plays.

Wheatley was unable to stop the Admirals from sending pucks towards the net, and Integrity Amherstburg eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Integrity Amherstburg additionally got points from Curtis Prymack, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Dylan Muzzatti, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Integrity Amherstburg were Broden Meloche, who had three and Blaine Bechard, Marshal Laing, Cody Leeming, and Luke Gangnon, who contributed one each.

The Omstead Sharks were helped by Cole Butler, who grabbed one goal. Butler scored 14:24 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brady Hillock picked up the assist. Others who scored for Wheatley included Jack Leafeve, Kristian Brockelbank, and Calyn Kir, who scored one goal each. In addition, Wheatley received assists from Luc Ribble, Delaney MacDonald, and Brett Bowman, who each chipped in one.

Daniel Tonietto rejected 24 shots on goal for the Admirals. Integrity Amherstburg incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Adam Leboeuf made 28 saves for Wheatley on 33 shots. The Omstead Sharks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
