Integrity Amherstburg falls to Mooretown in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Dawson Vautour gave the Mooretown Flags a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Integrity Amherstburg Admirals when he scored 3:24 into the extra period.

Mooretown overcame a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Flags fell behind 3-1 after a goal by Integrity Amherstburg's Chad Copeland at 18:19 in the second period. Mooretown tied things up at 3-3 on a goal by Nolan Riley at 18:35 in the third period.

The Flags were paced by Vautour, who had one goal.

Mooretown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances.

Mooretown also got points from Cameron Rannie, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Ben Morrison, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Mooretown were Landon Wilson and Alec Segers, who each chipped in one and Kyle Smith and Brent Blais, who contributed two each.

The Admirals forced the Flags goalie Brandon Johnson to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots.

Integrity Amherstburg also had goals scored by Joseph Bouzide and Luke Gangnon, who scored one goal each. In addition, Integrity Amherstburg received assists from Dean Patterson and Kasey Basile, who each chipped in one.

Johnson rejected 48 shots on goal for Mooretown. The Flags incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Connor Meyerink recorded 26 saves for Integrity Amherstburg. The Admirals incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
