The Lakeshore Canadiens and the Dresden Kings skate to 5-5 (OT) tie

Kyle Dawson banged in three goals and Derek Daly also chipped in one point, but Dresden tied Lakeshore, 5-5 (OT).

The Kings were unable to stop the Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Lakeshore eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. Penalties took their toll on the Canadiens, as their penalty kill unit let in three power play goals. Lakeshore got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

The Canadiens were led by Nick Tavolieri-Essex, who had two goals. Tavolieri-Essex scored the first of his two goals at 14:48 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Lakeshore. JJ Percy picked up the assist. Tavolieri-Essex's next tally made the score 5-4 Lakeshore with 9:41 left in the third period. Brandon Ireland assisted on the tally. Others who scored for Lakeshore included Colin Sartor, Joe Binder, and Zack Bedard, who scored one goal each. In addition, Lakeshore received assists from Cameron MacDougall, Steven Sartor, Hunter Corp, Parker Boyle, Dylan Kolic, and Mejoe Gasparovic, who each chipped in one.

Dresden also got a goal from Carter Smith as well. More assists for Dresden came via Isaac McLean, who had one and Dillon Liberty, Dayne Davis, Kevin Ritzer, and Will Tetzlaff, who each chipped in two.

Brendan Shuck made 25 saves for Lakeshore on 30 shots. The Canadiens incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Joel Sowinski rejected 40 shots on goal for Dresden. The Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
