The M1 Missouri State University Ice Bears survived a determined comeback attempt by the M1 Colorado State University Rams on the way to a 6-5 win.

A goal by Marshall Gevers put M1 Missouri State University up 6-2 in the second period, but M1 Colorado State University pulled to within one on Dylan Hassell's tally 3:54 into the third period.

Gevers had two goals and two assists to lead the Ice Bears. Gevers scored the first of his two goals at 5:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brendan McClew provided the assist. Gevers' next tally made the score 6-2 M1 Missouri State University with 15:37 left in the second period. M1 Missouri State University was on a disadvantage when Jason Small went off the ice for too many men. Andrew Kovacich picked up the assist.
