Thunder AAA Hockey holds on for 6-4 win against Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM)

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) tried to dig itself out of a three-goal hole, but Thunder AAA Hockey held on for a 6-4 victory.

A goal by TYLER RUNYAN put Thunder AAA Hockey up 6-3 in the second period, but Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) pulled to within two on Jarrett Slear's tally 14:36 into the third period.

Thunder AAA Hockey found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, Thunder AAA Hockey averages 3.5 goals per contest. Thunder AAA Hockey could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game.

Thunder AAA Hockey was helped by TYLER DILL, who registered two goals. DILL scored the first of his two goals at 12:59 into the first period to make the score 2-2. MATTHEW CURLEY picked up the assist. DILL's next tally made the score 3-2 Thunder AAA Hockey with 13:33 left in the second period. Others who scored for Thunder AAA Hockey included JAKE FRIEDMAN and SETH BACON, who each put in one. More assists for Thunder AAA Hockey came via ZEKE ZEIER, who had two and ERIC HIRSCHHAUT, RENARS KRASTENBERGS, and PAUL RABY, who contributed one each.

Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) also had goals scored by Jake Horacek and Austin Master, who scored one goal each. In addition, Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) received assists from Skyler Pugh, who had two and Tyler Riddle, Joe Abel, Noah Bradley, and Ethan Clark, who each chipped in one.

JONATHAN CHIN made 22 saves for Thunder AAA Hockey on 26 shots. Thunder AAA Hockey registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Mitchell Gibson recorded 23 saves for Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM). Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (MM) incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
