CT Wolfpack (MM) vanquishes Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) in shootout, 3-2 (1-0 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as CT Wolfpack (MM) defeated Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) in a shootout 3-2 (1-0 SO).

The two teams needed five turns to complete the shootout.

CT Wolfpack (MM) saw a two-goal lead disappear, but was able to secure the win in a shootout. CT Wolfpack (MM) made the score 2-0 on a goal by Alexander Koumontzis at 5:56 in the second period. Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) evened things up at 2-2 on a goal by Riley Dixon at 14:07 in the third period.

CT Wolfpack (MM) forced Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) goalie Tyler Hawk to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots.

Nicholas Leeseberg also scored for CT Wolfpack (MM). More assists for CT Wolfpack (MM) came via Eugene Lim, who had two and Jonathan Sanca and Peter Dziergas, who contributed one each.

Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM)'s offense rang up 42 shots on CT Wolfpack (MM)'s net.

Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) was led by Nick Woodward, who registered one goal and one assist. Woodward scored on the power play 12:04 into the third period to make the score 2-1 CT Wolfpack (MM). A roughing penalty on Jaxon Rutkowski had put Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) on the power play. Alex Dingeldein provided the assist. In addition, Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) received assists from Hunter Larsen and Alec Kent, who each chipped in one.

Marcus Nylander recorded 40 saves for CT Wolfpack (MM). CT Wolfpack (MM) incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM)'s Hawk stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. Milwaukee Jr. Admirals (MM) incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
