Albano leads Dundas to shutout victory over Simcoe

Andrew Albano recorded a shutout against the Simcoe Storm as the Dundas Blues picked up a 6-0 win.

Dundas was led by Liam Buckley, who racked up one goal. Buckley scored 3:09 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dundas. Phoenix Schueler picked up the assist.

The Blues forced Simcoe's goalies to work in net, getting 44 shots and forcing 38 saves. Nate Prusky made 13 stops and Tyson Taylor made 25. Dundas stifled the Storm's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Blues' defensive play was more effective than usual against Simcoe. Dundas averages 2.7 goals allowed per game. The Blues' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Dundas additionally got points from Ray Thompson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Dundas also had goals scored by Bryce Robertson, Cam Docherty, Justin Homer, and Domenic Procopio, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Chris Cudek, who had two, Jaden Simoneau and Thomas Dowling, who each chipped in one, and Connor King and Cam McConnell, who contributed three each.

Albano recorded 25 saves for Dundas. The Blues incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For Dundas, Dan Pelosini was ejected from the game. The Storm incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
