Dunnville blows out Simcoe, 7-0Dunnville Memorial Arena Fri, Dec 18, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Dunnville Jr. Mudcats had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-0 win over the Simcoe Storm. Dunnville was sparked by Dane Koabel, who tallied one goal and one assist. Koabel scored 9:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dunnville. Aaron Krajcir provided the assist. The Jr. Mudcats' offense rang up 44 shots on Simcoe's net. Dunnville's goal total was higher than its season average. The Jr. Mudcats have scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Dunnville cashed in on power play opportunities, scoring two goals on three chances. Dunnville additionally got points from Jake MacDougall, who also had one goal and one assist, Matt Dolan, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Damien Lalonde, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Chad Springer, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Travis Sheldrake also scored for Dunnville. More assists for Dunnville came via Josh Meeuwse, who had two and Mitch Holodniuk, Darcy Muller, Connor Schmalz, Cody LeVasseur, Luke Rowe, and Sawyer Madden, who each chipped in one. Brennan Head recorded 15 saves for the Jr. Mudcats. Dunnville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Jr. Mudcats ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Holodniuk was ejected from the game. Nathen McKinnon made 37 saves for the Storm on 44 shots. Simcoe incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
