Dundas rolls over Dunnville, 6-2

The Dundas Blues were firing on all cylinders against the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats, and when the final buzzer sounded Blues emerged with a 6-2 win.

Liam Buckley had two goals to lead Dundas to victory. Buckley scored on the power play at 11:14 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Dundas and again while on the power play 15:58 into the second to make the score 4-2 Dundas.

The Blues struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 42 penalty minutes for eight opposing power plays.

Dundas also got points from Calean McPhee APM, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Chris Cudek, who also had one goal and one assist. Dundas also had goals scored by Josh Morgan and Cam McConnell, who each put in one. In addition, Dundas received assists from Ray Thompson, who had two and Mitch Moriarity, Thomas Dowling, Phoenix Schueler, Clay Donnelly, Connor King, and Domenic Procopio, who each chipped in one.

Dunnville's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Jr. Mudcats finished with 38 penalty minutes.

Dunnville was helped by Matt Dolan, who grabbed one goal. Dolan scored on the power play 9:53 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Dundas. The Jr. Mudcats had gotten the advantage when Dundas' Dowling was sent off for head contact. Darcy Muller picked up the assist. Josh Meeuwse also scored for Dunnville. Other players who recorded assists for Dunnville were Mitch Holodniuk, Cody LeVasseur, and Luke Rowe, who contributed one each.

Andrew Albano made 17 saves for the Blues on 19 shots. Dundas registered three goals on seven power play opportunities. Jesse Schoeman took the loss and made 17 saves before being replaced by Brennan Head who made seven saves.
