The Simcoe Storm had trouble finding ways to stop the Grimsby Peach Kings, which beat Storm, 7-3. Jeromy Hopkins had two goals to lead Grimsby to victory. Hopkins' tallies came on the power play at 7:58 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 19:49 into the first to make the score 4-1 Grimsby. The Peach Kings found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Grimsby averages 4.4 goals per game. Others who scored for Grimsby included Matthew Jambrosich, who had two and Marcus Brydon, Addison DeTullio, and Daniel Scotland, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Grimsby were Aiden McCreadie, who had two and Trevor McEneny, Carson Macrae, Joshua Celebre, Kyle Kozielski, Garnet McComber, Curtis Conrad, and Brady Cranwell, who contributed one each. Simcoe managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Storm ended up below its season average of 22.0 penalty minutes per game. Simcoe was led by Drake Bailey, who registered one goal. Bailey scored 5:57 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Simcoe. Kevin Cameron picked up the assist. Simcoe also had goals scored by Tyson Mike and Grant McKenzie, who each put in one. In addition, Simcoe received assists from Dakota Culbert, Alexander Polillo, Jack Lamain, and Bradley Stitt, who each chipped in one. Marcus Hlywka recorded 17 saves for the Peach Kings. Grimsby incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Storm's Tyson Taylor stopped 21 shots out of the 28 that he faced. Simcoe registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
