Grimsby pulls away in second, rolls over Simcoe, 10-2Talbot Gardens Sun, Nov 29, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
The Grimsby Peach Kings used a four-goal second period to put away the Simcoe Storm, 10-2. Grimsby was sparked by Garnet McComber, who racked up one goal. McComber scored 4:00 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Grimsby. Kyle Kozielski assisted on the tally. The Peach Kings kept Simcoe's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyson Taylor made 37 saves on 47 shots. Grimsby found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the Peach Kings average 4.3 goals per contest. Grimsby also got points from Marcus Brydon, who also tallied two goals and one assist, Joshua Celebre, who also had one goal and two assists, Jeromy Hopkins, who also registered one goal and one assist, Kozielski, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Brennan Smith, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brady Cranwell, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Matthew Jambrosich also scored for Grimsby. Bailey's next tally made the score 8-2 Grimsby with 12:28 left in the third period. Grimsby's Marcus Hlywka stopped 19 shots out of the 21 that he faced. The Peach Kings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Simcoe incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
