The Port Dover Sailors used a four-goal second period to put away the Dunnville Jr. Mudcats, 7-2. Port Dover's penalty kill excelled, as the Sailors gave up zero goals despite allowing 14 power plays. Port Dover was sparked by Eric O`Keefe, who registered one goal. O`Keefe scored 6:04 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Port Dover. Colin Montour picked up the assist. The Sailors stifled Dunnville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Port Dover's offense rang up 37 shots on the Jr. Mudcats' net. The Sailors surpassed their usual scoring output this season. This season, Port Dover averages 3.4 goals per contest. The Sailors' penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Port Dover finished with 38 penalty minutes. Port Dover also got points from Zac Mihalis, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Port Dover also got a goal from Eric Mueller as well.
