A hat trick by Josh Turberfield was the highlight in Sailors' 6-3 win against the Simcoe Storm. Turberfield got on the scoresheet 4:21 into the second period. He then added goals at 12:10 into the second and at 12:12 into the third.The Port Dover Sailors stifled Simcoe's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Port Dover surpassed its usual scoring output this season. This season, the Sailors average 3.2 goals per contest. Port Dover's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Sailors finished with 24 penalty minutes. Others who scored for Port Dover included Travis Walker, Connor Epping, and Zac Mihalis, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Port Dover were Michael Almas, Eric Mueller, Michael Boateng, Steve Goeree, and Braden Roberts, who each chipped in one. The Storm struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 34 penalty minutes for five opposing power plays. Simcoe was helped by Riley Wilson, who tallied one goal. Wilson scored 29 seconds into the third period to make the score 5-3 Port Dover. Ben Curtin picked up the assist. Simcoe also had goals scored by Alexander Polillo and Ben Woods, who scored one goal each. In addition, Simcoe received assists from Tyson Mike, Kevin Cameron, and Dakota Culbert, who contributed one each. The Storm registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
