The Hagersville Hawks beat the Glanbrook Rangers, 3-2, in a contest where the winning goal was scored in the first period but the game remained close throughout. A goal 16:39 into the first period by Domenic Evangelista proved to be the game winner, and powered Hagersville to the victory. Matt Lemassuir picked up the assist.The Hawks were led by MIchael Arch, who grabbed one goal. Arch scored on the power play 7:51 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Hagersville. Hagersville earned a power play opportunity when Curtis Zahorodni was put in the box for tripping. Derek Friesen assisted on the tally. Hagersville also got points from Lemassuir, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Hagersville received assists from Mitch Green, who had two and Max Gunter and Dan Mederios, who contributed one each. Glanbrook was held below its usual level of production. The Rangers put an average of 4.8 pucks into the net per game. The Hawks were unable to stop Glanbrook from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 38 shots on goal.
