Albano leads Dundas to shutout victory over Port DoverMarket Street Arena Thu, Nov 05, 2015 Story by Narrative Science.
Andrew Albano made 25 saves to complete the shutout and led the Dundas Blues to a 3-0 win against the Port Dover Sailors. Port Dover's power play was ineffective against Dundas' penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded. The Blues were sparked by Liam Buckley, who racked up one goal. Buckley scored on the power play 9:14 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Dundas. Dundas had gotten the advantage when the Sailors' Zac Mihalis was sent off for roughing after whistle. Thomas Dowling provided the assist. The Blues' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Port Dover power plays. Dundas' offense rang up 44 shots on Port Dover's net. Dundas also had goals scored by Justin Homer and Quinn Sallows, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Dundas were Ray Thompson, Dan Pelosini, and Cam McConnell, who contributed one each. The Sailors could not produce up to their normal offensive output. Port Dover puts an average of 3.0 pucks into the net per game. The Sailors could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game. The Blues incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Rene Kloepfer rejected 41 shots on goal for Port Dover.
