A hat trick by Josh Anger was the highlight in Rangers' 7-1 win against the Simcoe Storm. Anger's first goal came 11:27 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:36 into the second and at 11:18 into the third.The Glanbrook Rangers forced Simcoe goalie Tyson Taylor to work between the pipes, taking 55 shots. Glanbrook additionally got points from Brad Parish, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Connor Maitz, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Glanbrook included Justin Whitwell and Matthew Hogan, who each put in one. More assists for Glanbrook came via Cameron Lapointe, Jeff May, Garnet Batrynchuk, Ryan Laufman, Tyler Strabac, Curtis Zahorodni, and Cole Anderson, who contributed one each and Justin Sandluck and Michael Fortino, who each chipped in two. The Storm's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Glanbrook power plays. Simcoe did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 12 shots on net to force 11 saves. The Storm were led by Austin Lavigne, who scored the team's only goal. Lavigne scored on the power play 8:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Simcoe. A head contact penalty on Nicholas Sherwood had put Simcoe on the power play. Grant McKenzie picked up the assist. Jay Payton rejected 11 shots on goal for Glanbrook. The Rangers incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Taylor recorded 48 saves for the Storm. Simcoe incurred 30 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
