A hat trick by Daniel Scotland was the highlight in Peach Kings' 10-2 win against the Simcoe Storm. Scotland got on the scoresheet 9:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:34 into the second and at 14:17 into the second.The Grimsby Peach Kings led 5-0 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after. Grimsby's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Simcoe power plays. Simcoe was unable to stop the Peach Kings from sending pucks towards the net, and Grimsby eventually piled up 53 shots on goal. The Peach Kings found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Grimsby averages 4.3 goals per game. Grimsby also got points from Kyle Kozielski, who also had one goal and two assists, Garnet McComber, who also registered one goal and two assists, Matthew Jambrosich, who also had one goal and one assist, and Brennan Smith, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Grimsby also had goals scored by Nicholas Purves, James Thorpe, and Brady Cranwell, who each put in one. Other players who recorded assists for Grimsby were Curtis Conrad, who had four and Marcus Brydon, Jeromy Hopkins, Addison DeTullio, Joshua Kozielski, and Trevor Meechan, who contributed one each. The Storm stifled the Peach Kings' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Simcoe was led by Alexander Polillo, who tallied two goals. Polillo scored the first of his two goals at eight seconds into the second period to make the score 5-1 Grimsby. Bradley Stitt picked up the assist. Polillo's next tally made the score 7-2 Grimsby with 15:50 left in the second period. Riley Wilson provided the assist. Marcus Hlywka rejected 23 shots on goal for Grimsby. The Peach Kings incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Storm's Tyson Taylor stopped 43 shots out of the 52 that he faced. Simcoe incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
