Nicholas Sherwood lifted the Glanbrook Rangers to a 10-2 victory with a hat trick against the Simcoe Storm. Sherwood's first goal came 1:14 into the first period. He then added goals at 2:43 into the second and at 18:54 into the third.Glanbrook kept Simcoe's goalie busy throughout the game, and Tyson Taylor made 47 saves on 57 shots. The Rangers' goal total was higher than their season average. Glanbrook averages 6.2 goals per game. Glanbrook also got points from Garnet Batrynchuk, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, Brad Parish, who also had two goals and two assists, Tyler Strabac, who also registered one goal and one assist, Connor Maitz, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Cole Anderson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Glanbrook also got a goal from Ryan Laufman as well. More assists for Glanbrook came via Matthew Hogan, who had two, Chris Haigh, who had three, and Michael Fortino, Justin Whitwell, Josh Pace, Brett Farrelly, Nathan Fiorino, and Matthew Venturelli, who each chipped in one. The Storm managed to stay out of the box better than usual, tallying one minor for 12 minutes in penalty time. Simcoe finished below its season average of 24.0 penalty minutes per game. The Storm were led by Riley Wilson, who tallied two goals. Wilson scored the first of his two goals at 17:33 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Glanbrook. Dakota Culbert provided the assist. Wilson's next tally made the score 6-2 Glanbrook with 13:18 left in the third period. A slashing penalty on Sherwood had put Simcoe on the power play. Bradley Stitt picked up the assist. The Rangers' Venturelli stopped 23 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Glanbrook incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Storm registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
