M1 Buffalo ^ University at blows out M1 Slippery Rock University, 8-2Northtown Center at Amherst Fri, Sep 18, 2015 The M1 Buffalo ^ University at Bulls were firing on all cylinders against the M1 Slippery Rock University Pride, and when the final buzzer sounded Bulls emerged with an 8-2 win. M1 Slippery Rock University's eight penalties came back to haunt it, as the Pride let up four goals while on the penalty kill. M1 Buffalo ^ University at forced M1 Slippery Rock University goalie Patrick Spaulding to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The Bulls were led by Gavin Evancho, who tallied two goals and one assist. Evancho scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 1:44 into the first period to make the score 1-0 M1 Buffalo ^ University at. M1 Buffalo ^ University at had gotten the advantage when the Pride's Nate Mettenburg was sent off for holding. Eric Szczecinski assisted on the tally.
