Metro beats West Michigan 4-0 as Limburg gains shutout

Metro used a sparkling performance by Kameron Limburg to take down West Michigan, as the netminder did not allow a goal in Metro's 4-0 shutout victory.

Metro was paced by Robert Flannery, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Flannery scored 4:55 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Metro. Kevin Shand picked up the assist.

Metro excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Metro's defensive effort looked to be improved. Metro averages 2.1 goals allowed per game. Metro forced West Michigan goalie Samuel Woznicki to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots.

Metro also got points from Shand, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Metro also got a goal from Cam Schwartz as well. In addition, Metro received assists from David Chavis, who had three and Jacob Gleason, Jacob Drinkard, and Devin Kelly, who contributed one each.

West Michigan's offense operated below its season average. West Michigan averages 3.6 goals per game.
