Atlanta beat Evansville, 5-2.

Atlanta's offense rang up 48 shots on Evansville's net. Atlanta's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Atlanta was helped by Jesse Brown, who had one goal. Brown scored 18:18 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Atlanta. Jack Cleaver provided the assist. Atlanta additionally got points from Drew Kelly, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Arturas Laukaitis, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Atlanta included Andrew Cooley and Kyle Rimbach, who scored one goal each. In addition, Atlanta received assists from Riley Hummitsch, who had two and Philip Pugliese, Evan Camba, and Colin OConnor, who each chipped in one.

Evansville kept Atlanta's goalie busy throughout the game, and Corey Boettcher made 31 saves on 33 shots. Evansville got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Evansville was led by Triston Theriot, who registered one goal. Theriot scored on the power play 17:46 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Atlanta. Evansville had gotten the advantage when Atlanta's Rimbach was sent off for tripping. Mathieu Laforest assisted on the tally. Brian Crink also scored for Evansville. More assists for Evansville came via Brandon Rozema and Brandon Bornkamp, who contributed one each.
