Great Falls blows out Billings, 7-3

Great Falls had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 7-3 win over Billings.

Great Falls forced Billings' netminders to work between the pipes, racking up 56 shots and forcing 49 saves. Brandon Brown made 39 stops and Gage Overby made 10. Great Falls outdid its season average for goals scored. Great Falls averages 4.1 goals per game.

Great Falls was helped by Ricards Bernhards, who tallied one goal and one assist. Bernhards scored 14:07 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Great Falls. Wade Wylie provided the assist. Great Falls additionally got points from Kyle Johnson, who also had one goal and one assist and Malachi Bushey, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Great Falls included Tyler Garcia, who had two and Mitchell Ramstad and Austin Krantz, who each put in one. In addition, Great Falls received assists from Connor Barta, who had two and Blake Miller, Hayden Moistner, Reed Link, Tanner Congdon, and Jake Stephan, who contributed one each.

Billings did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 13 shots on net to force 10 saves.

Billings was helped by Edward Hoppmann, who registered one goal. Hoppmann scored 1:57 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Mason Graves picked up the assist. Billings also had goals scored by Roy Aharonovich and Chris Nicolai, who scored one goal each. More assists for Billings came via Wolfgang Davis, Dillon Steh, and Jeremy Vandekerkhove, who each chipped in one.

Great Falls' Stephan stopped 10 shots out of the 13 that he faced. Great Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Billings incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
