In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Yellowstone escaped with a 5-3 victory over Great Falls.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Jake Dickison secured the win for Yellowstone with a goal in the second period.

Dickison had two goals to lead Yellowstone to victory.

Yellowstone forced Great Falls' netminders to work between the pipes, racking up 35 shots and forcing 30 saves. Lauren Massie made 13 stops and Jake Stephan made 17.

Yellowstone additionally got points from Nicholas Elliot, who also had one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Yellowstone included Tony Dahlberg and Reed Kelly, who scored one goal each. Great Falls was led by Tanner Congdon, who finished with one goal and one assist. Congdon scored 18:58 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Reed Link picked up the assist. Great Falls also had goals scored by Tegan Harrington and Wade Wylie, who each put in one. More assists for Great Falls came via Ricards Bernhards, who had one and Josh Larson, who had two.
