Twin City squeaks by Breezy Point, 4-2

Twin City gutted out a close 4-2 win against Breezy Point.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Luc Kreuser at 14:18 of the third period.

Twin City was sparked by Zak Lambrecht, who finished with one goal. Lambrecht scored 14:54 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Twin City. Ben Hersman picked up the assist.

Twin City's offense rang up 31 shots on Breezy Point's net. The defensemen of Twin City were also effective in Breezy Point's zone, and came away with two goals.

Twin City additionally got points from Kreuser, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Twin City also had goals scored by Joe Costello and Bennett Witta, who scored one goal each. In addition, Twin City received assists from Jared Erickson, who had two and Paul Stehr, Max Meyer, Tristan Mayer, and Jay Paul, who each chipped in one.

Breezy Point put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Twin City to score on any of its three power plays. Breezy Point got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game.

Gunnar Howg rejected 25 shots on goal for Twin City. Twin City incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Wes Paupore recorded 27 saves for Breezy Point. Breezy Point incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
