Alexandria fell behind early, and North Iowa kept piling on the points on the way to an 11-3 victory.

Kohei Sato was all over the ice for North Iowa, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Sato scored the first of his two goals at 14:22 into the first period to make the score 4-0 North Iowa. Jeff Solow picked up the assist. Sato's next tally made the score 7-1 North Iowa with 17:33 left in the second period. David Min assisted on the tally.

Alexandria's 11 penalties came back to haunt it, as Alexandria let up five goals while on the penalty kill.
