Sugar Land had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over Euless.

Sugar Land got the win thanks to a great game by Zac McKenna, who had one goal and three assists. McKenna scored 30 seconds into the second period to make the score 3-1 Sugar Land. Trevor Wolf assisted on the tally.

Sugar Land's penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Sugar Land surpassed its season average of 28.0 penalty minutes per game. Sugar Land's offense rang up 51 shots on Euless' net.

Sugar Land also got points from Luca Valenza, who also finished with two goals and one assist and Jonathan Adnell, who also had one goal and two assists. Sugar Land also had goals scored by RC Randall and Keith Allen, who each put in one. In addition, Sugar Land received assists from Michael Crowley, Travis Witt, Matt Cozzan, and Estevan Cortes, who contributed one each.

Euless racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. Euless had been averaging 25.0 minutes in penalties per game. Euless excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Euless was helped by Kayne Fedor, who registered one goal. Fedor scored 8:10 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Sugar Land. Tristan Allen picked up the assist. Euless additionally got points from Wyatt Gentry, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Euless also got a goal from Aaron Wade as well. Other players who recorded assists for Euless were Kyle Dudley and Cody Gottfreid, who each chipped in one.

Kevin Mackey rejected 19 shots on goal for Sugar Land. Mike Severson recorded 45 saves for Euless. Euless registered two goals on four power play opportunities.
