Texas jumped out to a four-point advantage by the end of the first period and beat Euless, 5-0.

Bryan Whelan had two goals and one assist to lead Texas. Whelan scored the first of his two goals at 2:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Texas. Ryan Dunner picked up the assist. Texas stifled Euless' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Texas kept Euless' goalie busy throughout the game, and Thomas Bailey made 40 saves on 45 shots.

Kyle Galloway also scored for Texas. In addition, Texas received assists from Zack Andersen, who had two and Matt Araujo, Oliver Hay, and Chase Deacon, who each chipped in one.
