Peoria erases deficit to stun Chicago, 5-3

Peoria rallied from two goals down to secure a 5-3 win over Chicago.

Peoria never led in the game until netting the game winner. Peoria trailed 4-2 after a power play goal by Chicago's Timothy Hoffenkamp at 14:07 in the second period. Peoria knotted things up at 4-4 on a goal by Chance Homerin at 17:47 in the third period. Peoria scored the game winner at 19:43 in the third period on a goal by Homerin.

Peoria's offense rang up 41 shots on Chicago's net.

Peoria was led by Jason Hoehn, who racked up three goals. Peoria also got points from Aaron Siegrist, who also tallied one goal and one assist. In addition, Peoria received assists from Levi Armstrong, Ben Koester, Andrej Buchko, and Braden Stewart, who contributed one each.

Chicago stifled Peoria's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Chicago additionally got points from Michael Howard, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Chicago included Jake Borth and Scott Coash Jr., who each put in one. More assists for Chicago came via Philip Grippi and Anthony Podder, who each chipped in one.

Nic Piech made 24 saves for Peoria on 27 shots. Peoria totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-5 on the power play. Chicago's Jimmy Smith stopped 36 shots out of the 40 that he faced. Chicago incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
