Aston climbed out of a two-goal hole to beat New Jersey, 3-2.

Aston never led in the game until netting the game winner. Aston was down 2-0 after a goal by New Jersey's Andrew Durham at 7:30 in the first period. Aston knotted things up at 2-2 on a goal by Gvido Jansons at 8:48 in the first period. Aston got the game winner at 11:19 in the second period on a goal by Jansons.

Aston was sparked by Drew Blackman, who registered one goal.

Aston excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Aston forced New Jersey goalie Jack Berry to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.
