Meijer AAA 16U survived a determined comeback attempt by New York Aviators 16U on the way to a 3-2 win.

A goal by Jack Wood put Meijer AAA 16U up 3-1 in the third period, but New York Aviators 16U pulled to within one on Shane Pinto's tally 8:35 into the third period.

Cam Lindsay had a great game for Meijer AAA 16U, netting two goals. Lindsay scored at 2:59 into the second period to make the score 1-1 and again while on the power play 7:55 into the second to make the score 2-1 Meijer AAA 16U.

Meijer AAA 16U stifled New York Aviators 16U's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

New York Aviators 16U did not challenge the opposing netminder, only getting 11 shots on net to force nine saves.
