Chicago Mission 16U blows out Pursuit of Excellence 16U, 5-1

Chicago Mission 16U had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over Pursuit of Excellence 16U.

Chicago Mission 16U got the win with help from a great game by Jack Drury, who had two goals and one assist. Drury scored the first of his two goals at 2:42 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Chicago Mission 16U. Jack Randl assisted on the tally. Drury's next tally made the score 3-0 Chicago Mission 16U with 9:48 left in the second period. Nicholas Nardella picked up the assist.

Chicago Mission 16U excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Chicago Mission 16U's offense rang up 33 shots on Pursuit of Excellence 16U's net.

Chicago Mission 16U also got points from Randl, who also finished with one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Chicago Mission 16U also got a goal from Kamil Sadlocha as well. More assists for Chicago Mission 16U came via Ben Perkins, who had two and Bryce Murphy, Mathieu De St Phalle, Tyler Carpenter, and Hunter Lellig, who contributed one each.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U's offense was handcuffed by Chicago Mission 16U's defensive play, and Pursuit of Excellence 16U managed only six shots on goal during the game.

Pursuit of Excellence 16U was led by Riley Smoler, who scored the team's only goal. Smoler scored 10:26 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Chicago Mission 16U. Decian Douthart assisted on the tally.

Nicholas Grabko recorded five saves for Chicago Mission 16U. Chicago Mission 16U incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
