Brampton Thunder uses early goal to top Calgary Inferno, 3-2

Brampton Thunder took the lead against Calgary Inferno in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 3-2 victory.A goal 2:24 into the first period by Rebecca Vint proved to be the game winner, and powered Brampton Thunder to the victory. Jamie Lee Rattray picked up the assist.
Brampton Thunder got the win with help from a great game by Rattray, who had one goal and two assists. Rattray scored on the power play 8:31 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Brampton Thunder. A tripping penalty on Sarah Davis had put Brampton Thunder on the power play. Laura Fortino provided the assist.
In the losing effort, Calgary Inferno was led by Blayre Turnbull, who registered two goals. Turnbull scored the first of her two goals at 10:12 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Brampton Thunder. Hayley Wickenheiser assisted on the tally. Turnbull's next tally made the score 3-2 Brampton Thunder with 12:12 left in the second period. Brigitte Lacquette provided the assist.
