Brampton Thunder downs Toronto Furies in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Rebecca Vint gave Brampton Thunder a 4-3 (OT) victory over Toronto Furies when she scored 23 seconds into the extra period.

Brampton Thunder almost relinquished a two-score lead. Brampton Thunder made it 3-1 on a goal by Laura Fortino at 18:56 in the second period. Toronto Furies pulled to within 3-2 on a power play goal by Kori Cheverie at 5:33 in the third period.

Toronto Furies was unable to stop Brampton Thunder from sending pucks towards the net, and Brampton Thunder eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. Brampton Thunder struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as it finished the game with 24 penalty minutes for seven opposing power plays.

In addition, Brampton Thunder received assists from Courtney Birchard, who had two and Laura McIntosh, Jess Jones, and Jamie Lee Rattray, who contributed one each.

Toronto Furies' offense rang up 41 shots on Brampton Thunder's net.

Alyssa Baldin also scored for Toronto Furies. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Furies were Natalie Spooner, who had two and Emily Fulton and Kelly Terry, who each chipped in one.

Erica Howe rejected 38 shots on goal for Brampton Thunder. Brampton Thunder registered one goal on two power play opportunities. Christina Kessler recorded 33 saves for Toronto Furies. Toronto Furies incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
