Calgary Inferno holds on for 3-2 win against Toronto Furies

Toronto Furies tried to dig itself out of a two-goal hole, but Calgary Inferno held on for a 3-2 victory.

Calgary Inferno made the score 2-0 on a goal by Jessica Campbell at 10:04 in the first period, and Toronto Furies got as close as 2-1 when Kori Cheverie scored 7:29 into the third period.

Calgary Inferno was paced by Brianne Jenner, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Jenner scored 17:38 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Calgary Inferno. Bailey Bram assisted on the tally.

Calgary Inferno kept Toronto Furies' goalie busy throughout the game, and Christina Kessler made 29 saves on 32 shots.

Calgary Inferno also got points from Bram, who also finished with one goal and one assist. More assists for Calgary Inferno came via Brigitte Lacquette, Hayleigh Cudmore, and Jill Saulnier, who each chipped in one.

Sarah Stevenson also scored for Toronto Furies. In addition, Toronto Furies received assists from Sena Suzuki, Kelly Terry, and Natalie Spooner, who contributed one each.

Calgary Inferno's Delayne Brian stopped 21 shots out of the 23 that she faced. Calgary Inferno incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Toronto Furies incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
