Calgary Inferno survived a determined comeback attempt by Toronto Furies on the way to a 3-2 win. A goal by Louise Warren put Calgary Inferno up 3-1 in the third period, but Toronto Furies pulled to within one on Natalie Spooner's tally 19:16 into the third period. Calgary Inferno pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes. Calgary Inferno forced Toronto Furies goalie Christina Kessler to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. Calgary Inferno additionally got points from Elana Lovell, who also had one goal and one assist and Hayley Wickenheiser, who also registered one goal and two assists. More assists for Calgary Inferno came via Kanae Aoki, who had one. Calgary Inferno was unable to stop Toronto Furies from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Furies eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. In addition, Toronto Furies received assists from Carolyne Prevost and Alyssa Baldin, who each chipped in one. Delayne Brian made 30 saves for Calgary Inferno on 32 shots. Calgary Inferno registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Kessler recorded 39 saves for Toronto Furies. Toronto Furies incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
