Belle Tire (mm) squeaks by Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm), 4-2

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, Belle Tire (mm) escaped with a 4-2 victory over Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm).

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Nolan Baldrica's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

Nathan Skulley had two goals to lead Belle Tire (mm) to victory. Skulley scored on the power play at 5:49 into the third period to make the score 2-2 and again while 17:52 into the third to make the score 4-2 Belle Tire (mm).

Belle Tire (mm) stifled Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm)'s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Belle Tire (mm) kept Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm)'s goalie busy throughout the game, and Justin Stotz made 30 saves on 34 shots.

Belle Tire (mm) additionally got points from Barrett Bishop, who also had one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (mm) were Matthew Davis, who had one and Trever Locklear and Joey Woznicki, who contributed two each.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) forced Belle Tire (mm) goalie Ryan McInchak to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm)'s penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) finished with 34 penalty minutes.

Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) was helped by Jared Compise, who grabbed one goal. Compise scored 13:01 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm). Bryan Bylsma provided the assist. Buffalo Jr. Sabres (mm) also got points from Colton McKenna, who also finished with one goal and one assist.
