Cape Cod uses fast start to beat East Coast, 6-2

Cape Cod opened up a four-goal lead after the first period and did not look back en route to a 6-2 win over East Coast.

Cape Cod got the win with help from a great game by Chuck Costello, who had one goal and two assists. Costello scored 18:34 into the first period to make the score 3-0 Cape Cod. Aaron Deady provided the assist.

East Coast was unable to stop Cape Cod from sending pucks towards the net, and Cape Cod eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Cape Cod additionally got points from Deady, who also tallied two goals and one assist. Chris ODonnell also scored for Cape Cod. Other players who recorded assists for Cape Cod were Dylan Legarie, James Brosnan, and Joe Brennan, who each chipped in one and Frank Oakley, Mike Jessman, and Karl-Eric Demers, who contributed two each.

East Coast stifled Cape Cod's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Clayton Pierce made 21 saves for Cape Cod on 23 shots. Cape Cod incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. East Coast's Aidan Critchlow stopped 29 shots out of the 35 that he faced. East Coast incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
