Chicago Fury (MM) vanquishes Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM) in shootout, 3-2 (3-2 SO)

Three periods of regulation and an overtime session were not enough to settle matters as Chicago Fury (MM) defeated Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM) in a shootout 3-2 (3-2 SO).

The shootout featured eight attempts between both teams. Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM)'s shootout goals were scored by David Nee and Luke Edgerton. Chicago Fury (MM)'s other shootout goals were scored by Vladimir Studennikov and Nicholas Messina.

Chicago Fury (MM) came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. Chicago Fury (MM) trailed 2-0 after a goal by Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM)'s Austin Tonkovich at 14:26 in the second period. Chicago Fury (MM) knotted things up at 2-2 on a power play goal by JEFFREY LOSURDO at 16:40 in the third period.

Chicago Fury (MM) excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Chicago Fury (MM) also got points from Josh N Nelson, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Chicago Fury (MM) received assists from COLIN SWOYER, MICHAEL ZUFFANTE, and Studennikov, who contributed one each.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM) also got a goal from William Casey as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM) were Edgerton, who had two and Logan Stork and Dustin Rinaldo, who each chipped in one.

VINNIE PURPURA rejected 26 shots on goal for Chicago Fury (MM). Chicago Fury (MM) incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Chad Veltri recorded 26 saves for Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (MM).
