Belle Tire (mm) penalty kill dominates in 5-1 defeat of CT Wolfpack (mm)

CT Wolfpack (mm) failed to take advantage of its power play opportunities and Belle Tire (mm) shook off a number of penalties to win, 5-1.

Belle Tire (mm) was led by Brenden Stanko, who grabbed one goal. Stanko scored 6:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Belle Tire (mm). Spencer Kimball assisted on the tally.

Belle Tire (mm) put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow CT Wolfpack (mm) to score on any of its eight power plays. CT Wolfpack (mm) was unable to stop Belle Tire (mm) from sending pucks towards the net, and Belle Tire (mm) eventually piled up 43 shots on goal. Belle Tire (mm) could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game.

Others who scored for Belle Tire (mm) included Nolan Baldrica, Thomas Hernandez, Dominic Skrelja, and Joey Woznicki, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for Belle Tire (mm) were Nathan Skulley, Mack Hastings, Brandon Kruse, and Trever Locklear, who contributed one each.

CT Wolfpack (mm) was led by Everett Wardle, who scored the team's only goal. Wardle scored 10:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 CT Wolfpack (mm). Lincoln Hatten picked up the assist.

Dominic Barton made 24 saves for Belle Tire (mm) on 25 shots. Belle Tire (mm) registered one goal on zero power play opportunities. CT Wolfpack (mm)'s Erik Gordon stopped 38 shots out of the 43 that he faced.
