 Kemptville holds on for 5-3 win against CornwallEd Lumley Arena    Thu, Jan 21, 2016 Story by Narrative Science. 
The Kemptville 73s survived a determined comeback attempt by the Cornwall Colts on the way to a 5-3 win. Kemptville made the score 5-2 on a goal by Adam Alavi at 9:00 in the third period, and Cornwall got as close as 5-3 when Parker Krol scored 18:00 into the third period. The 73s were led by Jake Gaudet, who had one goal. Gaudet scored on the power play 13:04 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Kemptville. Kemptville had gotten the advantage when the Colts' Grant Cooper was sent off for slashing. Victor Tracy provided the assist. The 73s excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kemptville forced Cornwall goalie Liam Lascelle to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots. Others who scored for Kemptville included Matthew Titus, Jason Tackett, and Bobby Dow, who scored one goal each. More assists for Kemptville came via Quinn Wichers, who had two and Jack Hale, Tyson Kirkby, Cameron Russell, Brandon Cole, and Matt Tugnutt, who each chipped in one. The 73s were unable to stop the Colts from sending pucks towards the net, and Cornwall eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Cornwall additionally got points from Matthew Morin, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Cornwall were Ross Craig, Sebastian Dirven, Dean Derouchie, and Nick Lalonde, who contributed one each. Nicholas Hodgins made 38 saves for Kemptville on 41 shots. The 73s incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Lascelle rejected 28 shots on goal for the Colts. Cornwall incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
