The Carleton Place Canadians' Bryce VanHorn scored 3:23 into overtime to beat the Cumberland Grads, 5-4 (OT).

Carleton Place kept Cumberland's goalie busy throughout the game, and Thierry Messervier made 27 saves on 32 shots.

Carleton Place also got points from Connor Merkley, who also had one goal and one assist. Alex Friesen also scored for Carleton Place. More assists for Carleton Place came via Marcus Joseph, Geoff Kitt, and Maxime StPierre, who contributed one each and Nicolas Carrier and Brett Murray, who each chipped in two.

The Grads were helped by Jared Leslie, who tallied one goal. Leslie scored 2:03 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Cumberland. Simon Besner provided the assist. Cumberland additionally got points from Shawn Cameron, who also registered one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Cumberland included Branden Makara and Joey Sollazzo, who scored one goal each. In addition, Cumberland received assists from Zackhary Salloum, Grant Hebert, Marc-Olivier Bouchard, and DAndre John, who contributed one each.

James Edwardson made 23 saves for the Canadians on 27 shots. Carleton Place incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Cumberland incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
